A strategic $6 million investment from Fondaction and the Business Development Bank of Canada (BDC) is accelerating the global expansion of Fundamentum, the powerful IoT Platform as a Service (PaaS) developed by Amotus. As the IoT division of Dimonoff, a leader in remote control and management for street lighting and parking systems, Amotus will use the funding to scale Fundamentum’s deployment. The investment will also enhance cybersecurity and accelerate advanced IoT features for connected asset management.

Fundamentum is a fully managed, scalable IoT Platform as a Service (PaaS) engineered by Amotus to simplify the secure management of connected assets. Designed for flexibility and real-world performance, Fundamentum currently supports over 850,000 connected modules across North America. Its applications span smart cities, utilities, and industrial automation. including large-scale deployments in Montreal, Laval, Mississauga, Pittsburgh, and Springfield.
In Montreal, more than 135,000 smart streetlights are monitored through Fundamentum every 15 minutes, delivering energy savings of up to 45% while maintaining high safety standards

While the $6 million investment was formally made into Dimonoff, it serves as a direct catalyst for Amotus, to accelerate the growth and global reach of its Fundamentum platform. This strategic funding enables Amotus to fast-track the development of new features, enhance its cybersecurity infrastructure to protect critical systems, and scale international deployment to support large fleets of connected devices.
