Chris Desnoyers Joins Sales Team to Drive Business Development at Amotus

We are delighted to announce the addition of Chris Desnoyers to our sales team. As Director of Business Development, Chris will play a key role in the growth of our Internet of Things (IoT) design and development services.

To give you a better idea of who he is, we decided to conduct one last ‘interview’ to find out more about him, both professionally and personally.

Tell us more about your career

I bring over 30 years of experience in IT, including more than a decade specializing in IoT and telematics solutions. Throughout my career, I’ve earned a reputation for staying ahead of industry trends and continuously expanding my knowledge of emerging technologies. This commitment allows me to integrate new tools and innovations into my extensive and proven toolbox.

What sets me apart is my ability to bridge the gap between technical expertise and commercial strategy. I excel at adapting sales approaches to align with evolving market dynamics, tailoring solutions to meet specific customer needs and competitive pressures. My experience enables me to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, translating complex technical concepts into actionable strategies. Above all, I thrive on transforming challenges into tangible successes.

What is your vision of sales?

For me, sales are much more than a mere transaction. It’s about creating meaningful partnerships by understanding customer needs at a deep level and offering solutions that deliver real, measurable value. Sales isn’t about talking endlessly or showcasing yourself—it’s about listening intently, asking the right questions, and demonstrating a genuine commitment to solving problems. It’s about building trust and fostering relationships that last beyond the initial deal.

What is your goal at Amotus?

My goal is very clear: to position Amotus as an undeniable leader in IoT by supporting our customers in their digital transformation. This means not only strengthening and supporting our current partnerships but expanding into new markets to maximize our impact.

In your opinion, what are the qualities of a good partner?

A good partner listens, is reliable and proactive. They understand their customers’ unique challenges and offer tailored solutions while providing consistent and effective support.

What is your vision regarding the world of IoT and technology?

The potential of IoT is massive, and we’re just scratching the surface. I see a future where connected solutions redefine the way we live, work and interact. IoT will drive the evolution of smarter, greener cities, increase business productivity, and contribute to a more sustainable and energy-efficient world. This is not just about tech anymore.

Why did you accept Amotus’ offer?

“You had me at hello”. This famous line from the movie Jerry Maguire sums up my reaction when I found out about the opportunity at Amotus. More seriously, what appealed to me was the team’s technical expertise, commitment to innovation, and ability to turn ideas into real solutions that truly make a difference. Joining Amotus was the perfect opportunity to put my skills and passion to the service of a shared vision.

I’m a problem-solver by nature, always finding the most appropriate and effective solution, whether it’s simple or sophisticated, at work or in everyday life.
